Green Home Remodeling

synopsis by: Gabriel A.

“Going green”, according to Middletown Thrall Library, means to pursue knowledge and practices that can lead to more environmentally friendly and ecologically responsible decisions and lifestyles, which can help protect the environment and sustain its natural resources for current and future generations. See full definition here.

And a “green home”, wiki defines as a type of house that is designed to be environmentally friendly and sustainable, focusing on the efficient use of “energy, water, and building materials.” You do not believe me? Read for yourself on wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_home

Green Home Remodeling, simply put, is changing your home to become Earth-friendly (I like this term better than environmentally friendly) and sustainable for who else but our family and our future generations. It never meant to tear your house down and rebuild it as a new green home, because that is just impractical and uneconomical, but to rather try and alter your home for it to be Earth-friendly. If your home is already that bad that you need to rebuild it from the ground up, and you can afford it, then go on. Do not worry, every penny that you spent for remodeling your home to become Earth-friendly will eventually come back to you because of a lot you will be saving from energy consumption and hospital bills, because green homes will keep your family safe from viruses and toxic particles that causes sickness. Do the math.

Patty Kim for Howdini.com will introduce you simple ways on how to remodel our home, the “green” way. In case I am making sense of that, Patty Kim will show you simple but significant green home modeling tips to improve your personal environment and help the planet, too! Very useful tips like replacing your vinyl floor with natural cork. As for a little trivia, vinyl releases dust particles that will get homeowners prone to asthma, and that surely is not a good thing especially for our children. More tips and ideas are on the video and more videos of going green are on http://www.Howdini.com. Please help our world sustain itself by doing little things for our environment and also by going green for the sake of our children and the future generations.
